Coastal hotel living with the flex and freedom of self catering, Cornwall’s first aparthotel, SeaSpace, confidently presents a new way to stay and play on Newquay’s east cliffs. The ideal spot for squeezing out the last of summer, join us on a spontaneous getaway to The Sunday Times’ Best Affordable Hotel 2025...

From the minute you step inside, SeaSpace paints a thrillingly fresh picture of what a coastal escape can be. Moments from the shoreline, with a surf-town energy and neighbourhood spirit, this easygoing aparthotel invites everyone to experience beach living their way, whether for an hour, a day, a week or more.
It also packs a colourful punch. A bold geometric mural, Art Deco-infused interiors, mid-century curves and an ice cream parlour palette create a playful, bright atmosphere.

Make yourself at home in spacious, design-led studios and apartments, complete with fully equipped kitchens and generous lounge areas. Almost all have sea views, but choose a studio to sunset-watch straight from the comfort of your king-size bed. Digital nomads will appreciate the strong Wi-Fi and sturdy desks, plus the option to clock off for a swim or sneak in a pre-meeting surf. Those with young families will love the Large Studios – bigger than the average hotel suite, with a separate bunk room included.

The bathrooms – beautifully decked out with candy-striped tiling, wooden shutters and brass fittings – are stocked with land&water, ready to cleanse salt-sprayed skin and nourish wind-swept locks.

The same flexible approach flows from rooms through to food. For barista coffee, pastries, brunch and lunchtime favourites, the laid-back SeaSpace Café hits the spot, with TALLO serving big-on-flavour Italo-American-inspired plates from 12-9pm.

But if you feel like staying in, your in-room kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm, with the lobby larder filling in any ingredient gaps with local dairy milk, butter, salt and other essentials available to buy.

If the invigorating sea air makes you want to move, a plethora of active options await: will it be a padel session, pool lengths, a blood-pumping gym class or a plunge in the ocean?
Super sociable and easy to pick up, padel (a cross between tennis and squash) is the racket sport causing a stir across the UK – and it’s found a home at SeaSpace, which boasts the biggest padel club in Cornwall. Hit the court come rain or shine thanks to the retractable roofs and floodlit grounds.

With its Atlantic-view arched windows and vintage-inspired chequerboard tiles, the striking pool feels more Miami Beach than British seaside, and was recently named as one of the most “gorgeous indoor pools around the world” by Forbes.

Cornwall’s North Coast has long been a magnet for surfers, but SeaSpace’s local beach, Porth, presents a calmer side – and is just a stroll away. Sheltered by bordering headlands, the waves here are welcoming to swimmers, paddlers and sand castle-crafters.
If you feel like stretching your legs, hit the coast path that snakes past SeaSpace’s front door and head right to reach the magnificent two-mile stretch of sand at Watergate Bay. Grab a wetsuit and bodyboard (or paddleboard) from Wavehunters before diving into a menu of après sea classics at The Beach Hut.

A ten-minute drive down the road is SeaSpace’s local town, Newquay. Thanks to a growing clutch of cool eateries, indie shops and a buzzing art scene, Newquay is basking in a new light. Pick up a flat white from Nalu Coffee House before browsing Clemo Books, expertly curated eco store The Good Lyfe, or lifestyle boutique R.Place – keeping an eye out for vibrant street murals along the way.
PRODUCT ESSENCE OF SEASPACE:
